Dr. Eric Boisvert - Government of Canada Science Profile

Mr Boisvert is the manager of the Groundwater Geoscience Program at the Geological Survey of Canada.  He has a background in geology, and information technologies.  He is involved in data modelling and design of data interchange standards such as Groundwater MarkUp Language and Geoscience Markup Language. He is a key member of the team that developed and maintains the Groundwater Information Network (GIN).

What is your role in the C1W project?

Coordinate C1W activities within the broader objectives of GSC Groundwater Program.  Facilitate allocations and linkage of internal resources toward the goals of C1W.

What benefits do you think C1W will bring to Canada/Canadians?

An integrated platform for knowledge and information about Canada groundwater that can be put to work to solve societal challenges.
