ReNew Canada - How can we make Canada’s infrastructure more resilient?

ReNew Canada recently hosted a small discussion with an expert panel of Canadian climate change mitigation/adaptation professionals. It’s an interesting read if you’re want to know about what kind of infrastructure is most at risk in Canada, how we make decisions (or should make decisions) at a national, provincial and municipal level on what infrastructure we should focus on adapting to climate change first, and what will it take to develop an integrated approach to climate resilience in our communities.

Each of these experts would seem to agree, having the right information available is a crucial aspect in planning to adapt ourselves to our changing climate. This is why the C1W initiative is a critical resource for climate change practitioners in all industries and communities across Canada!

ReNew Canada: What’s it going to take to develop an integrated approach to build resilience into Canada’s infrastructure?

Quentin Chiotti: Do we have enough information in order to make decisions? And I think for the longest time, we have. So, I would say whether or not it’s the tools, the expertise, or the data, we’ve made great strides in being able to have all the information to make strong sound climate risk decisions.
